The brief

Overview

UNSW’s alumni engagement team built Learn to Lead with corporate partner Zip: a leadership series where senior leaders pass on what actually carried them through their careers, non-linear paths included.

The material had to work twice over: as structured learning modules on the alumni platform, and as social content sharp enough for LinkedIn. And the audience is global, including alumni in China where YouTube doesn't reach.

The approach

Our approach

We filmed module interviews with leaders across UNSW and Zip, including shoots inside Zip’s offices, working around loading dock windows, boardroom acoustics and corporate schedules. Footage was graded across sessions so a series shot weeks apart cuts together as one product.

A fireside chat between two of the leaders became the series centrepiece, delivered as a two-part feature plus vertical social teasers. Every video then went out in the formats the audience needed, including compressed exports for Youku so alumni in China could actually watch them.

The result

The outcome

The full module library is delivered and live with the alumni team, alongside the fireside features, LinkedIn teasers and platform-specific exports.

This was sign-off-heavy work: university stakeholders, a corporate partner and executive talent all approving every frame. The reason it shipped is process, planned approvals, versioned reviews and edits turned around inside a day when the final sign-off asked for one more change.
